Invitrogen Qubit 4 Fluorometer

The Qubit 4 instrument provides and easy, fast and relatively accurate way of determining DNA and RNA concentrations by detection of fluorescent dyes, which bind specifically to the target of interest. The Qubit is not as accurate for NGS library quantification as Real-Time PCR, as it detects all dsDNA in the sample and not only the dsDNA that is sequenceable. However, if you are doing standard small whole genome library preparations etc. for sequencing on the Miseq or need to measure library input conc. it is a budget-friendly alternative to Real-Time PCR.
